Emilia Cleaning is a Wollongong-based cleaning business with 30 years of industry experience, providing regular home cleaning for aged care clients and insurance-referred clients, and regular office cleaning for medical practices, industrial facilities and national corporate branches.
We are an owner-operated business built on one principle — quality over quantity. We are selective about the clients we take on because we believe every client deserves our full attention, every visit.
2. Have you been known by other business names?
Yes. Emilia De Sousa has been in the cleaning industry since 1998, originally operating as Emilia’s Home & Pet, then expanding into strata and office cleaning through SO Clean in 2007, before launching Emilia Cleaning in 2020.

4. How much does it cost?
We provide tailored proposals based on each client’s individual requirements. Our home cleaning services are charged at an hourly rate. Once you fill in our Home or Office Cleaning form, we will assess your needs and send you a proposal.
5. Do I get the same cleaner every visit?
Yes — this is one of our most important commitments, especially for aged care clients. We send the same cleaner every visit so your home is looked after by someone familiar and trusted. Your cleaner will get to know your home, your routine and your preferences over time.
6. Do you provide cleaning supplies and equipment?
For office clients, Emilia Cleaning provides all supplies and equipment. For home clients, we are happy to use your preferred products and equipment if you have them — just let us know when you fill in the form.
7. Are you insured?
Yes. Emilia Cleaning holds public liability insurance and workers compensation insurance. All staff are police checked. References are available on request.
8. Is there a contract?
No. We do not lock clients into contracts. You can stop the service at any time. We believe our quality of service is what keeps clients coming back — not a contract.
9. How do I reschedule or cancel?
We understand plans change. We ask for at least 24 hours notice for any cancellations or rescheduling so we can organise our team accordingly.
10. Do you work with aged care providers as a subcontractor?
